Each game can accommodate a maximum of 7 players around the table. Once you are seated at the table, you can start betting as soon as the next round begins.
A game of Caribbean Stud Poker starts with placing the ante bet. Once everyone has placed the ante bet, the dealer will deal you 5 cards face up and himself or herself 5 cards, with only the last card facing up. The aim here is to analyse your cards and compare your hand to the dealer’s showing card.
If you feel you have a particularly high scoring hand, you can place a raise bet and see the dealer has a better hand. If you have a low scoring hand and the dealer is showing a high card, you have the option of folding and cutting your losses.
Once all players have made their decision to fold or raise the dealer will flip over his or her down-facing cards to reveal their hand. To qualify, the dealer must have a hand of a King or Ace high card. If your hand is higher than the dealers, you win even money on your bets. If the dealers’ hand wins, you lose your ante bet and raise bet.
In Live Caribbean Stud Poker, you also have the option of placing a side bet at the start of the round. Side bets act independently of the main hand and pay out even if your original hand is not a winner. The 2 side bets that can be placed are the 5+1 bonus bet and the progressive bonus.
