Game of War – Fire Age is Russia’s favourite app. It’s in the second spot for USA, Canada and New Zealand, and places highly for many other countries too.
Candy Crush Saga is still popular in the UK (2), Sweden (2), Switzerland (2) and Mexico (2), while Clash of Clans and Mobile Strike also place very strongly across the board.
And over in India, the favourite app is Teen Patti – Indian Poker, appealing to those looking for a different kind of online gaming fix.
Pokemon Go rules 2016
Taking podium position in every country except Australia, Italy, Russia and India, Pokemon Go is far and away 2016’s top app. It ranked at number 2 in Australia and Italy too, just to cement its status as a global phenomenon.
Its popularity soared as soon as it was released onto the App Store, and many players couldn’t wait to get on it. While its player numbers have been steadily dropping off due to bugs and boredom, it’s made more than 300 million USD for its developers, Niantic.
It’s always interesting to see what the most popular apps are world-wide, and gaming has a decent market share in India and Oceania.
