There are many fantastic casino games to enjoy and one of the most popular is poker. Playing the table game requires a lot from every player. You have to be skilled, calculated, brave and of course, you need luck to get the right hands. With that in mind, it can be a hard game to master.

Yet, Germany has produced some of the best professional poker players in the world and here we will look at three who have made the most money from their winnings at the table!

Fedor Holz

The Lucky Nugget team have already covered the talent Holz has for poker with our in-depth profile, but you can’t cover the best German poker players without mentioning the 23-year old. Quite simply, he is one of the best in the world, standing at 8th in the all-time money list, having accumulated over $21m in his short career.

He has won individual accolades for his performances and his best run arguably came in 2016 when he won a staggering $10m in the space of six weeks. That culminated in landing a prestigious bracelet for victory at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Unfortunately, since then Holz has decided to lower the amount of time he spends at the tables, however he’s already cemented his legacy as an all-time great.

Ole Schemion

Ole Schemion is another to make a big impact on the poker scene and although he hasn’t made a breakthrough at the WSOP, he has won various titles on the European tour. They have helped him accrue earnings of over $11m in his short career. Again, Schemion is a relative youngster at just 24-years old and can continue to add to his millions over the years.

Each player might think they have a speciality when it comes to poker and for the Berlin-born player it’s the No Limit Hold’Em tournaments. He is renowned for his aggressive style and his ability to control the game, which has drawn comparisons to the legendary Phil Ivey. With that talent and time on his side you can expect Schemion to climb up from the 37th position he is currently at on the all-time money list.

Tobias Reinkemeier

Third on the all-time money list for Germany is Tobias Reinkemeier who has won over $10m in his career, which puts him 39th overall. The 30-year old has played at events worldwide and has a string of impressive finishes which contribute to his outstanding total. As well as that, he regularly buys-in at the highest staked tournaments around.

One of those was the $1m buy-in for the Big One For One Drop, an event at the 2014 WSOP. Reinkemeier managed to finish 5th and left with a cool $2m. All in all, he has an impressive four money finishes at the WSOP, three on the World Poker Tour and eleven on the European Tour.

Whilst those are the three outstanding players when it comes to the cash they’ve won over the years, there are many other great German players including; Phillipp Gruissem, Fabian Quoss, Rainer Kempe and Pius Heinz. They’ve all made over $9m each from their abilities too, which proves that Germany has quite a range of talented players when it comes to poker!
